Second Nature is interpreted as a way of thinking about habituation. Having witnessed figs and birds adapting to urban infrastructures, I explore through design studies and speculative drawings - how disused spaces and everyday dwellings might be retrofitted to support such spontaneous occurrences. Together with Root Studies, this work speculates on how we might not only coexist with this ecological agency, but also enable it. How can adaptation be seen as a reciprocal exchange - a give and take - shaped by an eco-centric perspective?

City in Succession explores the quiet resilience of fig trees reclaiming the edges of a hyper-urban environment. Printed on coarse sandpaper, the images emphasize the harsh textures and marginal conditions in which these plants persist. The title reflects on ecological succession - the gradual process by which life reclaims disturbed spaces - tracing how life adapts, survives, and slowly reconfigures space in the crevices of the built city.
